From Monday, November 14, 2022, at 12:00AM to Thursday, November 17, at 8:00AM local time, Team GO Rocket are using Shadow Pokemon within Pokemon Go for nefarious deeds.

A new Special Research story will be available at the beginning of this event, in which you receive a Super Rocket Radar and pursue the mischeivous Giovanni. The Special Research will be available to claim until the end of the Season of Light on December 1st, 2022, at 10:00AM local time.

Team GO Rocket Takeover Event Bonuses

- You can use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokemon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.
Team GO Rocket Takeover Eggs
The Pokemon in this section will hatch from 12km Eggs during the Team GO Rocket Takeover event.
The following Pokémon can currently only be hatched from 12 km Eggs:
- Sandile
- Pawniard
- Vullaby
- Pancham
- Salandit.

Trainers can earn 12 km Eggs by defeating Team GO Rocket leaders. Also, for the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to hatch Shiny Pawniard!
